About the Role

As the Senior Accountant, you’ll oversee daily accounting operations including payables, receivables, and payroll. You’ll manage monthly financial reporting, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and provide leadership and insight into the organization’s fiscal strategy. What You’ll Do

• Lead all day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reconcile all balance sheet accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
• Serve as liaison for audits and coordinate with external CPA firms.
• Recommend process improvements and system updates to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
• Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and payroll/tax compliance.
• Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting software preferred.
• Excellent organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines.

Additional Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, full-time, exempt role (occasional weekends as needed).
• Location: On-site in Jacksonville, NC.
• Travel: Minimal.
